Job Description:

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for analyzing beef gross margins by plant, weekly primal optimizations and other reports as needed. This position is also the primary contact with USDA market news for boxed beef pricing and willwork to ensure accurate reporting regarding mandatory price reporting. Other responsibilities include participation in daily/weekly meetings, working with Accounting and Operations to provide accurate product conversion costs to the Boxed Beef Pricing Team while also working on various special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BS in Business or Agri-Business.

Experience: 6+ years of experience in beef industry fundamentals with specific experience in beef pricing, grading, or accounting expertise specific to the beef industry preferred.

Computer Skills: Advanced intermediate computer skills required; must create and manipulate complex spreadsheets and databases.

Communication Skills: Requires excellent communications skills working collaboratively with senior management on controversial decisions.

Special Skills: Complete knowledge of beef grading applications and terminology and an understanding of statistics and predictive models.

Supervisory: No supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: Requires some travel.
