Position Overview

This position works under direct supervision while painting components. Following instructions is key in performing all responsibilities.

Job Qualifications

• Ability to handle a paint gun

• Ability to spot if gun is not working properly and do the maintenance if needed

• Ability to organize and perform the steps needed in sequence

• Thin paints to proper viscosity for ease of application and to attain proper coverage

• Adjust sprayer to obtain required finish, coverage and economy; keep spray equipment and booth in a clean, operating and safe condition

• Must know how to spot and correct all types of related problems such as paint reaction to each other

• Be able to move to any area of the shop; to be creative and meet strict deadlines as well as endure long hours

• Comply with quality standards through error prevention and by meeting such requirements with zero defects

• Operate forklift

Physical requirements

• Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Medium to heavy work is defined as exerting 20 to 100 pounds of force occasionally (0-2.5 hrs/day); and/or 25 to 40 pounds of force frequently (2.5-5.5 hrs/day); and or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly (5.5+ hrs/day) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of Light work.

• Required to wear Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) - facemask is required during COVID-19 Pandemic.
