Applied Materials Productivity Applications Manager IV (E4) in Huron, South Dakota
Applied Materials’ APG (factory solution software group) seeks to hire an Application Manager to drive APG Productivity products and solutions offerings in core segments (Semiconductor Fab and Assembly/test) and in the exploration of these applications to adjacent industries. This position will define, promote and generate value propositions for the productivity solutions (Scheduling, dispatching, simulation and Workflow automation). A successful candidate will have an understanding of general factory automation applications such as the MES, dispatching, scheduling, material handling, statistical process control, advanced process control, fault detection, etc.. This employee will play a role in the go-forward strategy, positioning of offerings, support strategic sales cycles, capture information on competitors, and maintain collateral and outbound messaging. Internally, this person will interact with the product managers, sales, and regional pre-sales teams. They will also feed requirements to engineering as the market demands.
This position can be located anywhere in the USA and will require up to 40% travel
Semiconductor Manufacturing Experience (front end & back end)
Project Leadership experience in factory productivity applications (scheduling, dispatching, simulation, workflow automation)
Understanding of integration/interaction with enterprise applications such as ERP
Hands on experience in Applied APF/RTD, Activity Manager (AMA)
Hands on experience in using key CIM software / products
Ability to communicate with customers at multiple levels included C-level
Able to work in cross-functional teams
Strong verbal communication skills, presentation and marketing skills
International and domestic travel required
Hands on experience in Applied simulation tools (AutoSched and/or AutoMod)
Experience creating a strategic plans and analyzing markets
Experience influencing investment decisions
Able to translate factory needs into software requirements
Strong negotiation skills
