General Electric Director Product Management, Additive Software Machine Analytics m/f in Pierre, South Dakota

Role Summary:

The Software Product Manager will develop and own digital strategy for our Machine Analytics product line. You will craft our Machine Analytics product road map by working closely with customers, external partners, and our internal GE Additive machine teams. In this growing segment, the Software Product Manager role will be challenged to define our product priorities and enable GE digital differentiation for and inside our machines, products, and services.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Product Manager will accomplish the above through defining and delivering amazing early warning and predictive machine insights, coupled with integrated capabilities in build preparation and post processing / inspection functions to delight our customers. The Software Product Manager will be responsible for creating strong working relationships & influence across cross-functional Additive executive leadership, product management, engineering, service, and other functional groups to form and execute our GE Additive digital product management strategy for the Machine Analytics product line.

Additionally, as the Software Product Manager, you will:

  • Have a deep understanding of our current and future Machine Analytics customers, their needs, and their ecosystems

  • Maintain strong awareness of the market, our competitors, and the value our Machine Analytics solutions will provide for our customers

  • Generate profitable growth in the Machine Analytics product line in support of business objectives on orders, revenue, cost and margin through the delivery and productization of key digital products and services

  • Champion customer satisfaction and engagement by building and maintaining customer partnerships and ensuring that “voice of the customer” is reflected in our strategy, the road map priorities, and continually incorporated into our software and analytics New Product Introductions (NPIs)

  • With a keen eye on the evolving Additive market and competitive digital additive landscape, relentlessly pursue new opportunities through commercial strategies in partnership with regional sales teams

  • Create strategic collaboration with internal and external Machine Analytics customers, and partner with other Additive machine product management teams to deliver differentiated and integrated customer solutions

  • Profound professional experience in software or manufacturing industry (Including significant recent experience in design engineering, manufacturing software, additive manufacturing, and/or machine data science or connected IoT edge analytics)

  • Strong experience in digital product management / strategy portfolio management functions in a global software or analytic organization operating in an agile / scrum methodology

  • MBA or masters in STEM fields from an accredited university or college preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience

  • Go to market development and execution expertise with a track record of delivering product and technology innovation in a new and evolving market space like Additive

  • Strong manufacturing or industrial digital services business acumen coupled with ability to successfully innovate product portfolio to align to business strategy and customer needs

  • Experience in monitoring and shaping industry dynamics, trends, and policies and to shape a culture that proactively uses market intelligence to drive significant growth

  • Ability to make strategic partnering decisions for the product line including the creation of new inbound / outbound channels

  • Prior experience balancing customer needs, install base requirements (refresh), and long-term enterprise differentiation

  • Awesome ability to embrace and cultivate our people, products, and processes to make us all better
