Role Summary:

The Field Services Methods Developer - PS Generator will partner with PS stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop, create, revise and maintain field procedures (FP), on-site repair procedures (OSR) and other methods for PS Generator products. The primary focus will be to provide consistent, high quality, PS Generator Field Procedure and On-Site Repair documents to enable Field Service outage excellence.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Field Services Methods Developer - PS Generator, you will:

  • Standardize and improve content of PS Field Procedure Documents, On-Site Repair Document and Inspection Forms for Legacy Alstom generators

  • Collaborate with PS Engineering and Training teams to develop methods and training for New Product Introduction (NPI), including new units and new outage tooling

  • Follow the FP revision process, implementing valid procedure recommendations from Field Execution teams

  • Collaborate with FFA (Field Force Automation) and ELC (Energy Learning Center) Training teams as a key contributor to requirements for next-generation digital FP solutions

  • Collaborate with Productivity Engineering to update procedures as required for NPI tooling development

  • Collaborate with regional Field Engineering teams to simplify and improve procedures

  • Implement Corrective Actions for that which require procedure changes

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or college (OR Associate's Degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 8 years of field engineering experience OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of field engineering experience)

  • Minimum of 5 years of field engineering experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum of 8 years of Alstom Generator Field Engineering experience

  • Strong English language communication capability, both verbal and written

  • Experience in writing technical procedures or documents

  • Resourceful and adaptive to change

  • Strong customer service mindset

  • Strong project management / process management skills
