Facebook is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join our team, focused on our company-wide proactive communication. The internal communications team's purpose is to inspire our employees to do their best work every day and this role is central to that.
In this role, you will join a team responsible for developing our proactive, company-wide campaigns and initiatives that educate and engage our workforce on the company's mission and strategic priorities. You will work to communicate our company priorities and help tell stories of our impact, ranging from the newest product experiences we're building that meaningfully improve people's lives, to how we're addressing the social issues we are at the heart of.
The ideal candidate will be excited to help communicate our unique company culture at a global level and connect employee work to the mission. They understand how to craft narratives that actively engage internal stakeholders. They are exceptionally organized and detail oriented, capable of managing numerous projects and work streams end-to-end, with a keen sense of prioritization and ability to consistently produce high-level work. Experience in supporting executives, developing and executing communication plans and virtual event production is preferred. This role reports into the Head of Internal Communications for Company-wide Communications.
Support the delivery of campaigns, initiatives and narratives that drive understanding of and commitment to company-wide initiatives and priorities through the creation of communications plans, targeted written communications and live events
Create and develop messaging around various topics, including company strategy, priorities, and announcements
Lead the department’s editorial process, including narrative and story development, calendar management and story identification, working across the department
Lead video and post development in partnership with our Proactive, Creative and People Comms teams in support of our heritage month activities and community celebrations
Work closely with select leaders on executive communications, including announcements, speeches and talking points
Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders
Represent the communications group in cross-functional teams across the company
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline, with experience in storytelling and proactive communications
6+ years experience working in internal, corporate, and/or political communications, executive communications
Understands and customizes communications for a global audience, using multiple channels and mediums
Experience with events, logistics and various types of creative content development
Experience working with leaders and building consensus among multiple internal stakeholders
Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed organization
Self-starter that thrives in a collaborative environment where you must partner cross-functionally
Experience in the internet technology industry
Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and also work collaboratively on a team
