We are offer exciting career opportunities for Field Service positions for Mechanical Assistants to support the Turbine Mechanics on projects for installation, maintenance, and repairs on Turbines and Power Generation Rotating equipment. Field Service employees

The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Assistant – Steam and Gas is to safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications. Mechanical Assistants receive direction from
Lead or Sr. Turbine Mechanics and may work closely with Craft Labor Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve these goals.
Because this is a traveling Field Service job, you can live Remotely anywhere in the USA, so long as you have reliable transportation, and access to an airport in case you need to fly to a job site location. We will be contacting and scheduling interviews for
qualified candidates over the next 30 days.
These positions are for work in the US and are for Legally authorized to work in the US candidates. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling / field service job that requires
you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work-related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE). Employees must be prepared to work in different
shifts, as required, to safely complete the assignment.
Responsibilities Will Include:
Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures
Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishmentspossibly under the direction of a Lead or Senior Turbine Mechanic.
Assist with the assembly and installation of machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishments.
Assist with dismantle and assemble of machinery and equipment using a variety of hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
Move machinery and equipment using hoists, cranes, chainfalls and trucks
Assist with Aligning machinery and equipment using hoists, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, dial indicators and/or laser alignment equipment
Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches
Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies
Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment
Take direction from a Lead or Senior Turbine Mechanic
Perform other duties as assignedQualifications / Requirements:
You must be able to pass drug testing and background investigation to meet company standards
Mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience
Critical thinking ability
Provide / possess minimum hand tools for a Mechanical Assistant, and be able to use them safely.
Must be able to handle time-sensitive tasks and maintain a schedule within operationally challenging environments
Must work well both independently and in a team environment
Must be able to travel on short notice
Must be able to perform Outage work onsite and work varied shifts / length of time, 8 - 12 hours a day, up to 7 days a week
Must have reliable transportation and a current driver’s license
Must be able to walk / stand upright for periods of up to 12 hours
Must be able to bend, squat and climb stairs/ladders (occasionally to frequently)
Must be able to work on equipment located at or above shoulder level
May be required to wear personal protective equipment
The heavy work demands will require lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in team environment
Must have a High School diploma, GED, or 10 years industry experience can be substituted for education
