The Parts and Oil & Gas Fleet Manager will serve as the primary point of contact with specific critical customers to drive resolution of customer issues. In this role. you will manage claims for new units, full service agreements (FSAs), operations support agreements (OSAs), and end of warranty closures in a timely manner to strict guidelines. You will also partner with cross-functional leaders to drive the right actions and provide prompt resolution to customer.
As the Parts and Oil & Gas Fleet Manager, you will:
Understand the Power conversion customer base and the customer distribution throughout North America
Create a plan to set up / manage a network of sales reps and different channel parts in the region
Execute the implementation and track the main KPIs for the success of the initiative
Understand the customer’s organization, assets, and installed base
Analyze risks, establish contingency plans, identify trigger events and be responsible for initiating mitigation
Be responsible for driving the region growth strategy of channel partners, and spare parts throughout the region
Understand the reasons behind the parts orders profile and come up with a plan to grow the parts and repairs orders in the region
Create KPIs for the parts organization and track the indicators so that the plan is successfully implemented
Work with customer personnel (Port Engineers, Chief Engineers, Maintenance, Training, Purchasing) to maximize availability of plant and to maximize services provided by GE
Manage internal issues through Sales, Engineering, and Services to provide prompt quality service to customers
Log service issues, visit assets to troubleshoot, and/or support major upgrades
Execute upgrade projects and Fleet account management
Be responsible for overseeing that warranty and further services obligations are met, including: timely delivery, quality, compliance with contract scope, and expected profitability of the service order
Be responsible for the Contribution Margin of jobs and will play a proactive role in problems identification and resolution by highlighting potential areas of concern and promptly driving other departments in solving issues which affect the customer
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience)
Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in project management or an engineering environment
Background in a customer facing service delivery or project management position, within a service environment
Proven Marine or Oil & Gas experience with technical knowledge of vessels and vessel systems (Propulsion systems, drives, automation, DP, and Drilling)
Ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients worldwide
Ability to learn and follow defined departmental policies, procedures, and practices
Ability to make decisions with regards to completion of tasks / job methods and follow through
Highly developed presentation skills with the ability to develop clear slides using MS PowerPoint
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interact and communicate with internal customers (Production, Engineers, and Management personnel)
Ability to prioritize workload and shift work activities in order to meet business needs and department goals
Ability to independently arrange and organize work efforts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task on a consistent basis
Ability to conceptualize and implement performance objectives that meet established requirements
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional ethics / integrity
Ability to make recommendations regarding job methods / department
