Overview of Job Function :

The Senior Director of Product Competitive Intelligence will oversee all of Verint CES’s solution-based market and competitive initiatives that will inform and shape Verint’s current and future product, go-to-market (GTM), and M&A strategies. Working within the Product Strategy Group (PSG) and reporting to the SVP of PSG Operations, the position requires a strategic leader who can work with key internal stakeholders to deliver critical insights and present informed recommendations that enable the creation and best positioning of Verint solutions in market. Of paramount concern for this function is ensuring that our product management and GTM teams have the market and competitive intelligence needed to prioritize the right product adjustments and additions, enhance M&A success, and position Verint optimally in the various markets to compete effectively.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities :

  • Provide market and competitive intelligence, insights and strategy recommendations to executives, senior leaders and PSG stakeholders

  • Develop a strategy and robust competitive framework to monitor market trends, competitors, technology partners, potential M&A targets, and other macro- and micro dynamics that impact or could potentially impact Verint’s business

  • Work closely with Corporate Development/M&A teams by providing critical and accurate insights and information to enable strategy design for this team

  • Develop and apply the right programs, platforms, tools that help surface competitive and market intelligence

  • Implement processes, systems, programs, platforms, and tools to support a cadence of communications for timely dissemination of information to best equip Verint product and GTM teams, and support marketing’s competitive intelligence team in their competitive communication to sales and other key internal teams

  • Deliver Executive presentations with real-time accurate information.

  • Analyze key topics and trends related to market and competitive activity in our space to include a) track and report on the competitive landscape, including competitive product releases, corporate developments, customer trends and market conditions, competitive pricing and promotions and b) provide insight into competitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

  • Participate in key business initiatives related to competitive analysis, product positioning and pricing

Minimum Requirements :

  • A minimum of 15 years of demonstrated experience in the field of Competitive Intelligence emphasizing the measurement and monitoring of the competition

  • to include experience conducting market and competitive analysis processes and 8 years of management experience.

  • Experience in a technology company focused on the business to business Customer Experience, CRM, Intelligent Virtual Assistance, or Contact Center markets, with established relationships and entry base of knowledge about key players and data sources for at least one of the markets Verint serves

  • Proven experience conducting and presenting competitive market and customer analyses to senior executive team that drive Verint’s GTM and M&A strategies

  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical and financial skills

  • Advanced computer skills to include the entire suite of MS Office such as MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC and a Social Security verification

  • Successful completion of a credit check necessary for those travel-related roles that will require the candidate to obtain the appropriate credit line required to travel
