Summary:

Recruiting is a core strategic driver of Facebook’s success. We have a world-class team working together to help drive our ambitions and scale to the next level. We are looking for a Recruiting Director to help with leading a few of the specialized tech leadership recruiting teams. This will require a leader who applies their operational depth and strategic thinking to bring to life creative ideas for identifying, evaluating and hiring people who deeply believe in Facebook’s mission and are the very best at what they do. Leading and nurturing a large, distributed team of recruiting professionals collaborating across university, experienced, and diversity channels to drive operational excellence and unparalleled results is essential in this role. You will have accountability for achieving the US technical recruiting hiring targets. Partnering closely with key technical, engineering and other business leaders to design and deliver an insightful and ambitious people plan with a constant eye on scaling for the future.

Required Skills:

  1. Inspire, grow and nurture a team of engaged recruiting professionals who deliver on the Business hiring needs, meeting time and quality expectations

  2. Work with key business leadership to understand future plans, recruiting implications of these and develop a strategy to deliver on these plans in a differentiated way

  3. Partner closely with Business leaders to help create the vision, strategies and priorities for our Leadership Recruiting team. You will lead, grow, empower and inspire a team of seasoned talent professionals, and work across the broader teams to deliver on the overall talent needs

  4. Articulate, own and lead a comprehensive vision and recruitment strategy for the leadership recruiting team

  5. Lead with data, analytics and insights to drive operational improvements and ultimately operational excellence to support our rapid growth

  6. Lead the team to deliver against the hiring plan by putting in place operational systems capable of scaling to a substantially larger capacity

  7. Define overall team and performance goals across the team

  8. Lead and develop recruiting managers to scale their teams

  9. Design cutting-edge sourcing strategy development and bring it to life with our team and hiring managers

  10. Build effective working relationships with functional leaders, TA team and cross-functional partners and within and outside of Business and be recognized as a trusted advisor in all recruitment matters. Proactively address these gaps through the nurturing of talent pools to meet this future requirement at the point of need

  11. Recommendations and follow through with metric-driven execution, leading others to do the same

  12. Highly capable and experienced presenter at the executive level in both formal and informal settings

  13. Invest in the team's core skills of business acumen, long term candidate nurturing, client management and operational excellence, to ensure we deliver a consistent high quality experience for candidates and hiring teams

  14. Continuously refining the executive candidate experience - you should have a point of view on what a great experience looks and feels like based on deep customer empathy and by seeking continuous feedback from stakeholders

  15. Provide data-driven leadership that supports the organization with actionable insights to enable data-driven decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 12 years recruitment leadership experience, from strategy through operational execution. Experience building relationships with key and senior business leaders to understand future plans, recruiting implications of these and develop a strategy to deliver on these plans in a differentiated way

  2. Experience creating and developing recruiting strategies supported by operational depth

  3. Experience building diverse teams that can influence decision making at all levels

  4. Experience working and partnering cross-functionally and cross-markets to drive results

  5. Experience translating data and analysis into strategic recruitment
