Facebook Sourcing Manager in Pierre, South Dakota

Summary:

The OEM Sourcing Manager position will act as the primary operational contact for network hardware products and services which support Facebook’s mass production build plan and shipment requirements, to its global network infrastructure. As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with Facebook's network hardware partners. In this role you will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing and supply chain services for systems that will be deployed within Facebook's Backbone & Edge. This is a role that will be accountable to work closely with cross functional Facebook teams while executing with speed and agility to achieve all cost, quality and delivery goals for new and sustaining products.

Required Skills:

  1. Analyze the overall supply chain to identify risk and drive resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead times

  2. Provide supplier operational performance inputs and drive supplier business reviews

  3. On time Delivery: Measure, report and action to improve delivery performance

  4. Ongoing Cost Productivity: Measure, report and highlight cost improvement to commercial sourcing leads as compared to market pricing and pricing models

  5. Communication of forecast, build plan review and delivery coordination with supply chain partners

  6. Ensure alignment between capacity plan priorities and supplier deliveries

  7. Review and approval of all engineering and technical program management change orders

  8. Quote compilation and accuracy

  9. Ensure supplier mix is in alignment with awarded business splits as defined by commercial sourcing management

  10. Purchase order accuracy

  11. Partner with Systems Sourcing to ensure product catalogs are accurate

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 7+ years of industry experience in a technical or business-related field

  2. 7+ years of experience in Sourcing Management or Supply Chain Management with a technology focus

  3. Experience working in an analytical and results focused role

  4. Experience in improving supply chain and supplier performance processes

  5. Experience in using cost models and objective based performance measures, in OEM environments

  6. Experience working with and managing global OEM suppliers

  7. Experience working and demonstrated experience influencing stakeholders and business partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience and knowledge with hardware design

  2. Knowledge of EMS/ODM/JDM/OEM business models, consignment and turnkey materials management, cost modeling, supply chain design and reverse logistics

  3. Demonstrated experience driving a plan to bring resolution to differing opinions, reaching out across functional boundaries to drive collaboration and sharing credit in a team environment
