Youth and Family Services FIN Finance Coordinator Full-Time in Rapid City, South Dakota

Department: FinanceMinimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required. Professional experience preferred. Financial and grant management capability. Experience in managing projects. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, printers, copiers, fax, scanners, and standard office equipment common to a program office environment. Must be dependable, accurate, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to monitor and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to engage in creative, effective problem solving. Current vehicle liability insurance and a valid drivers license required.Essential Functions:Act in accordance with purpose, philosophy, values, goals, policies, and procedures of YFS.Prepare required and supplemental schedules needed for the audit.Prepare and assist in annual financial audit (i.e. communicating with auditors, ensuring needed documents are available to auditors).Perform month and year-end closing of financial reporting.Assist CFO with grant budgets, complete grant reporting, billing and reconciling.Provide backup for respective Finance Department positions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Review and post accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. (daily posting)Ensure financial reporting is kept up-to-date, maintain reporting calendar, and ensure compliance.Perform month-end items as specified on month-end checklist by due dates.Track expansion loan and interest payments.Assist in training new Finance Department staff as applicable and take necessary action to ensure quality of work.Additional Functions:Provide support to CFO in safeguarding of all assets.Assist the CFO with updating all finance policies and procedures.Maintain accounting software.Design and maintain a detailed, written, step-by-step job processes manual.Perform additional duties as assigned.Environmental Functions: Perform duties in a controlled office environment.
