In this role, the Financial Systems Manager will ensure system solutions optimally support the finance organization and overall company goals and objectives. Manages a team of system analysts as well as serves as the subject matter expert providing recommendations to improve and streamline business processes through systems solutions. Develops and maintains a high performing partnership with the Information Technology department, Accounting and Finance organization, software vendors and consultants in order to gather, assess and effectively communicate business opportunities and translate to optimal solutions.
SALARY RANGE: $85,450 - $140,900 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Support the development and execution of the five-year financial systems roadmap to ensure system solutions support the company’s strategic plan. Systems may include, but are not limited to, PeopleSoft, PowerPlan, Hyperion, Utilities International, Business Objects and interfaces between these systems.
Serve as the business process and systems solutions subject matter expert to assist the organization in optimizing, standardizing and improving system solutions.
Act as business partner and liaison between the information technology and business operations teams.
Manage the identification and implementation of process improvements by utilizing best practices, system solutions and reporting tools.
Manage the support and maintenance of financial systems and interfaces to meet the day-to-day operational needs of the organization.
Manage successful financial system upgrade and new implementation projects by:
Facilitating fit gap analysis and system design sessions;
Planning, prioritizing, leading and executing project plans; and
Designing, performing and overseeing system configuration, testing, training, deployment, monitoring and change management.
Establish, monitor and communicate project management and system support metrics to maintain accountability and achieve success – projects completed on schedule and budget.
Recruit, train and manage team to meet responsibilities of the department and organization.
Partner with stakeholders to establish and maintain appropriate system related internal controls and segregation of duties.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), business analyst role or equivalent position is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or Finance related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work effectively as a team leader.
Ability to direct department and prioritize projects and work consistent with Company initiatives.
Ability to apply strong attention to detail while understanding and considering the big picture.
Solid organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to resolve issues with a structured approach. Ability to understand, analyze and communicate technical design, project issues and status effectively.
Working knowledge of segregation of duties across system environments.
Experience in SOX compliant environment.
Demonstrated success in building partnerships across a diverse organization.
Highly organized to meet deadlines and maintain priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to drive process improvements.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
SQL or Query writing knowledge.
Experience leading or managing projects is required.

Work environment: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Must be willing to occasionally travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
