Summary
The Optometrist position is located at the Rapid City IHS, Rapid City, South Dakota. The Optometrist is responsible for providing optometric care for the Native American community of Rapid City. The incumbent reports to the Clinical Director.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. I have completed a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) accredited by the Council on Optometric Education. 2. Licensure
I am currently licensed to practice optometry in a State, the District of Columbia, or a territory. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-11, Optometrist
In addition to meeting the Basic Requirements listed above, select the one response below that best describes your experience which demonstrates your ability to perform the work of this position at the GS-11 level. 1 year of professional optometrist experience equivalent to at least GS-9 grade level. This experience is related to the work of the position in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: examining eyes, using observation, instruments and pharmaceutical agents, to determinate visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
