Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Review and complete denial/appeal requests
• Stays current on Federal and State regulations regarding medical necessity for inpatient and observation hospitalizations
• Knowledge and experience with Utilization Review
• MCG REQUIRED
• 2-3 years Acute Care Care Management experience required, 5 years acute care nursing preferred
• BSN and current active license to practice in South Dakota preferred
• Care Management certification or specialty nursing area preferred
