Indian Health Service Physician (OB/GYN) in Rosebud, South Dakota
This position is located in the PHS Indian Hospital of the Rosebud Comprehensive Health Center, Rosebud Service Unit at Rosebud, SD. The purpose of this position is the provision of comprehensive clinical medical care (Educative, Preventive, Curative, Rehabilitative) in an inpatient/outpatient setting. The position functions as a Senior Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).

Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development and the ability to identify and categorize each patient's age-specific grouping of needs, i.e. infant, adolescent, or geriatric by examining and diagnosing health related conditions; educating individuals concerning their health conditions, recommending therapy and overall promotion and the prevention of disease. The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements. If privileges are not obtained or maintained during employment, the employee will be subject to adverse actions, up to and including removal from Federal service. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
