Operate video camera and microphone(s) to capture video and audio both on location and in a studio. Use video camera, microphones, audio recording equipment and other technology to produce high quality video and audio products designed to provide education to a variety of demographics. Transport and set up cameras, lights, microphones, and other necessary equipment to capture high quality video and audio. Operate photo camera to capture photographs both in studio and on location. Use software to edit photos, video and audio for a variety of digital formats. Resize, edit, airbrush and otherwise enhance images using Photoshop or other editing software. Possess knowledge of professional video, audio and still photography editing and post-production procedures, techniques and standards. Maintain camera equipment, including lights, lenses and tripods. Graphic design skills a plus. Work with Subject Matter Experts to design and develop training videos to ensure that organizational and stakeholder needs are met. Deliver training videos that use adult learning principles and training methods. Strive for development of training videos that lead to an ideal learning experience for our learners. Responsible for maintaining and updating existing training and education videos as delegated. Perform quality checks to ensure that training videos meet expectations. Freely and openly shares knowledge and skills with the rest of the team. For a candidate with the requisite technical skills, we will provide training in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and software-based training.
Customizes curriculum and develop training materials to ensure that organizational and stakeholder needs are met. Delivers training with a focus that utilizes adult learning principles and training methods. Strives towards successful development of coursework for ideal learning experience. Responsible for maintaining and updating existing training and education programs delegated. Performs quality checks to ensure satisfactory course functionalities and objectives are met. Based on skill set, training needs, and topic focus, will provide training in a variation of needs, including but not limited to: behind the scenes build and design, software based training, classroom setting both virtually and in-person with direct facilitation, and/or orientation to small and large groups. Role potentially will include creation of online learning modules and delivering webinar and classroom training based on department training needs and curriculum. Works closely with remote subject matter experts regarding the design, build, and maintenance of training content needs based on educational course topics and the initiatives driven within the department. Additional responsibilities may include following established checklists, writing course descriptions, revising courses as needed, maintaining course catalog database when applicable, acting as a peer reviewer, and redesigning learning objects to increase effectiveness. May coordinate training schedules as needed for intended audience and population. Ability to develop strong working relationships, manage projects, facilitate change processes and effectively communicate to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrates successfully working with diverse groups of people in order to accomplish a common goal. Demonstrate flexibility as well as effective planning and organizational skills. Effective communication skills are essential: personal, verbal, written, and electronic. Ability to function in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-driven organization. Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office/Windows applications, analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation, innovative problem solving, and demonstrable training skills.
Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements. Promotes a variety of tools and techniques to measure results against learning objectives. Optimizes the use of time and resources to achieve desired results. Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with and ability to participate effectively as part of a team. Helps promote collaboration across generations, functions, regions, and levels. Develops trust and credibility by acting in a consistent, genuine manner. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Defines key learning objectives for an assigned/given population for a specific curriculum. Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes. Consults with different divisions within the organization to customize learning objectives. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language. Assists in developing primary plans, structures and content for training programs.
Bachelor's degree required. Field of study preference based on department training focus and specialties. If no degree, will consider six years equivalent work experience as a potential alternative.
Additionally, prefer to have minimum of two year's experience in a healthcare environment providing education/training, including the use of automated software applications. Ideally have project management experience as well as knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods is preferred.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications based on program training needs of the department and population focus.
