Aerotek Automation Engineer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota


This opportunity is for an Automation Engineer to work in a manufacturing environment where they will need to be comfortable being hands-on with the equipment on the floor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Planning, executing, and reporting of priorities such as man-hour estimates, reacting to changing priorities, and record-keeping and reporting.

  • Providing general production support for machining and or assembly area as needed

  • Communication liaison between engineering, production, marketing, purchasing, etc., and cell leader.

  • Process improvements


Automation, Mechanical, CNC, Electrical, Programming, Plc programming, Troubleshooting, process improvement, lean manufacturing, manufacturing

Top Skills Details:

This individual needs to have a 4-year engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar discipline) or have a 2-year Tech degree with at least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience

CNC experience is big

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

BS in Engineering

3+ years of MFG experience after graduation

Mechanical Aptitude

Innovative process design skills

Experience Level:

Intermediate-Expert Level
