POSITION SUMMARYThe Behavior Analyst/Therapist is responsible for clinically supervising Board Certified Assistant BehaviorAnalysts and Behavior Specialists and providing behavior therapy services within the Education and Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) units in the Community Life Department in accordance with the organizationis Mission and Core Values, utilizing Person-Centered Practices.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASClinically supervise Behavior Specialistsi Provides Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) supervision for BCaBA certification(Analysts only)i Oversees use of restrictive proceduresi Maintains certificationi Reviews Behavior Plans for presentation at the Behavior Support Committee (BSC)Provide behavior therapy servicesi Conducts functional behavior assessments and functional analysesi Develops, implements, and monitors Behavior Intervention Plans and/or Behavior Support Plans, utilizing evidence-based treatmentsi Reportis findings of assessments/evaluations to the interdisciplinary teami Provides training to LifeScape employees, outside agencies and parents as neededi Provides leadership and training during the management of maladaptive behaviorsi Analyzes and interprets behavioral data on an ongoing basisi Collaborates with the ICF and education interdisciplinary teami Maintains expertise in current research/techniques affecting persons supported and remains current on legal and ethical issues, and promotes behavior analytic theory and principlesi Assists with training staff on personis programming and completing competency and reliability checksi Participates in Behavior Support Committee as a voting member and other committees as requestedi Participates in on-call schedule within the ICF (Analysts and Therapists assigned to the ICF only)EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum Masteris degree and BCBA certification or in process of the certification. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, and challenging behaviors preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESi Current knowledge base of rules and regulations related to program areai Developed oral and written communication skillsi Organizational abilityi Analytical and problem-solving abilityi Knowledge and understanding of applied behavior analysisi Technological competence to use computers and software utilized by the organizationWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSOffice environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, etc. Extended periods of sedentary work required. Some travel is required. May be required to intervene with persons who demonstrate problem behaviors. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
