KBR Business Analyst in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
KBR has an immediate need for an energetic and dynamic Business Analyst to support our Business Management Office (BMO) on the Technical Support Services contract (TSSC) with USGS/EROS (http://eros.usgs.gov/) near Sioux Falls, South Dakota (http://www.siouxfalls.org). This position is responsible for day-to-day functions of the Business Office, including finance, accounting, invoicing, funding, procurement, reporting, and budgeting. Helps monitor company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, contract budgets, and government acquisition regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Supports the Business Office Manager in all aspects of financial processing and reporting
Track customer funding for invoice capabilities with reconciliation to corporate accounting system
Back-up role for TSSC Business Manager functions, primary Business Office Manager functions in support of other KBR corporate contracts.
For other KBR contracts this will include corporate interface for monthly financial requirements (forecast overview for example), funding status, and invoice processing and tracking.
Basic understanding of budgets and financial processes around the business cycle
Supports the use of enterprise financial tools
Continually seeks opportunities to improve overall effectiveness and value of technical services provided by the Business Management Office in support of the KBR corporate portfolio.
May assist in the development and maintenance of specific BMO processes and procedures
May assist in mentoring less experienced staff
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
Experience : Minimum of 5+ years of relative experience
General understanding of financial processing/reporting
5+ years of experience working in a financial environment
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel expertise required)
Effective oral and written communication
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
Excellent organizational skills
Must have prior 3 year U.S residency
Candidates must have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a teamwork emphasis. Candidates must also be able to integrate into a highly-skilled Information Technology Team.
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hire to obtain a badge for facility access and user accounts.
