TitleEntry Level Control Systems DeveloperCity/TownSioux FallsState/ProvinceSDDescriptionInterstates is growing, and we are currently seeking an Entry Level Control Systems Developer to join our Automation Team for our Sioux Center or Sioux Falls offices.The Entry Level Control Systems Developer will be responsible for the programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of potentially complex, technically oriented and sensitive computerized automated control systems.Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our team and external customers.Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:Control System Programming: PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and / or the HMI (Human Machine Interface), and databases, and thus could require programming in several PC languages.Work within project teams consisting of clients, electrical engineers, control system programmers, and information system programmers to deliver integrated automation solutions.Provide plant check-out, commissioning, and start-up services at customer sites.Troubleshooting control system issues, helping support existing client applications, general client communication.Other duties may be assigned.Education and/or Experience:2 or 4-year degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related technical fieldOr equivalent combination of education and related experience/trainingPreferred Skills:Knowledge in designing and developing control systemsKnowledge in HMI / SCADA programming, and PLC programmingKnowledge in the programming and configuration of Variable Frequency DriveExcellent troubleshooting skillsGreat communication (verbal, written, listening) and teamwork skillsKnowledge of manufacturing and mechanical systemsTravel: This position is located in our Sioux Center or Sioux Falls office and travel may be required up to 35% of the time.About us: For over fifty years, we've tackled complex challenges and developed innovative solutions.
