MIDCO Intern-Solutions Engineer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Gain a full understanding of the interworkings of Sales Engineering and how the integrations across the company need to function to ensure success in meeting internal SLA’s. Primary responsibilities include internal engagement with tools, teams, and resources to successfully complete a thorough analysis and recommendation for Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Assist with gathering the customer technical requirements through discovery methodology; solution consulting, solution design, and technical presentations.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with the evaluation of Sales Enineering roles and define process improvements to better serve Sales Engineering Midco and our customers.

  • Make recommendations on how to improve the existing processes to meet response SLA’s to sales and other internal parties.

  • Consult with Sales, Sales Engineers, Product Management, and Network Engineering to assist with providing accurate Midco solution recommendations and write detailed responses.

  • Research internal communications and processes under the direction of leadership.

  • Partner with internal teams to propose network and product recommendations, and exceed requirements of the project completion.

  • Suggest technical and operational improvements on how knowledge may be more efffectively shared.

  • Update documentation to reflect changes in departmental procedures.

  • Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco’s Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers

  • Maintain regular attendance.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Working towards Bachelor’s or Associates Degree or related work experience – Network Engineering degree desired.

  • Two years of experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio required.

  • Knowledge of Network, Voice, and Video services and delivery methods preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

  • Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
