Major Responsibilities

Repair, maintain and modify production equipment

Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Follow and support all Company Safety, GMP and HACCP policies

Follow and support all Company ISO, QMS & QSI policies

Repairs production equipment in a time fashion and as assigned

Trouble-shoots equipment – electrically and mechanically

Cleans and maintains maintenance shop and plant floor work areas

Conducts daily inspections and completes inspection forms

Makes recommendations and assists in equipment modification

Provides technical information to production employees

Communicates with other maintenance personnel and manufacturing team leaders

Performs specific tasks assigned by supervisors

Monitors equipment for any maintenance to be performed during the preventative maintenance process.

Attends monthly safety meetings and follows all company safety policies and procedures

Snow removal (including snow plow truck) as deemed necessary by supervisor. Must be trained and competent per SFWI-0214 Training - Company Truck

Education And/Or Experience

Education: Associates degree in electrical/mechanical or equivivant work experience

Experience: In addition to the educational requirements incumbents must have 2 years of experience in an industrial maintenance field.

Minimum education and years of experience should not be used exclusive of other leveling factors described below.

Other Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of and skill in using hand tools, including measuring instruments

Knowledge of and skill in operating electrical tools

Knowledge of and skill in using a multimeter

Knowledge of and skill in using a mil and lathe

Knowledge of and skill in welding

Knowledge of and skill in motors and motor controls

Knowledge of and skill in PLC’s

Ability to read and understand schematics and diagrams

Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to organize and prioritize work activities and to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to make practical decisions without appreciable direction or advance preparation

Employee may reach, climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend or twist up to 66% of the work shift.
