Aerotek Panel Shop Technician in SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota

Description:

This opportunity is for a technically minded and hands-on manufacturing technician. They will be working in a climate-controlled and clean manufacturing environment working with and assembling wiring harnesses and electrical components for custom Panels.

A 2-year technical degree in Mechatronics/Electronics or a similar field is ideal, but not absolutely required. If someone has a strong electrical and mechanical back ground and really understands wiring schematics and how to assemble them, they could be a strong candidate for this role.

At first, this individual will get physical packets that will essentially be their project for that day, or however long it takes to complete. Inside this folder has everything from the entire wiring schematic, parts, multiple lists for parts needed to successfully assemble and complete the project.

There is always help when questions come up, but this position will require someone that is fairly self-motivated and has decent to strong problem-solving skills. The Manager of this Department doesn't Micromanage and likes to be able to delegate tasks/duties for the day and keep moving.

Must be able to assemble and install industrial control products and wiring to UL, NEC, and up to the company's standards.

Top Skills Details:

A 2-year Technical Degree in Mechatronics/Electronics or similar field would be ideal but not absolutely required.

MUST be proficient with electrical wiring schematics, understanding them, and actually physically wiring it along with accurate assembly.

Mechanically inclined and comfortable working on the production floor. Ideally, after this person becomes proficient, they will grow into also working with and operating CNC's and other production equipment to take on more of the process (could be 2+ years) of these builds.
