JOB SUMMARY
As our shipping and receiving expert, you will play an essential role in managing the flow of shipments for POET’s Sioux Falls facilities. You will support our various teams and interact with both team members and vendor partners frequently.
DURING A TYPICAL DAY (IF THERE IS ONE)…
Assure that daily shipping timelines are met to support business needs. - Inspect incoming shipments and validate contents to packing slip. - Maintain records of all shipping and receiving activity. - Monitor outgoing packages from the start to finish, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices. - Organize, sort and transfer goods from one location to another. - Manage inventory of shipping supplies to maintain ample materials are on hand. - Assist in maintaining the exterior and interior cleanliness of our vehicle fleet. - Perform ad hoc tasks that arise during the course of the day. - Since we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skill may be put to a lot of other uses!
STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
High School diploma or GED required. - Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history/record required. - Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change. - You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You’re capable of learning new programs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.- Ability to walk up and down stairs and stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
