JOB SUMMARY

Follow the customer input process to qualify the customer and obtain the necessary information and signatures to process orders accurately and efficiently. Update account maintenance and files with all pertinent information. Become knowledgeable of product specialty lines and insurance coverage of that product. Oversee the customer service department and serve as a resource for employees, and in-house departments regarding products and functions. Will assist leadership with interviewing, hiring, continuing education, and counseling employees.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads the design of multiple call centers with routing and alternate capabilities. Identifies and resolves gaps in customer expectations versus actual service levels. Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position. Facilitates cross-boundary communication to surface and resolve issues proactively. Guides others to display courage and ability to voice concerns or dissent about difficult matters to the leader. Trains others on the many aspects of managing existing customer accounts. Coordinates roles, responsibilities and interdependencies of all team members. Handles performance issues and team barriers to success with assertiveness and determination. Coordinates workloads, within allocated timeframes, for different operations departments.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Responsible to supervise and lead billing and collections of durable medical equipment from point of intake to resolution of customer account.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Durable Medical Equipment (CDME) specialist preferred. High school diploma required. Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred. Previous experience in managing or supervising others preferred. Must possess a minimum of two years of customer service, insurance coverage, and computer data input or sales experience preferred.
