Youth Center CookDo you enjoy working with children aged 7-17 and have experience with meal preparation? Experience working with children aged 7-17 is preferred.Primary responsibilities for aiYouth Center Cook:Prepare adequate and nutritious meals and snacks for children according to guidelines set by the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and this organization.Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and pantry area and proper sanitation of all kitchen and pantry equipment and areas.Demonstrate appropriate interactions and behaviors with children.Demonstrate professionalism in conversations and actions.Demonstrate safe food handling practices.Plan and post menus that meet or exceed the guidelines set by the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and this organization.Order and purchase food and other items that may be necessary for the kitchen.Attend Serve Safe training and maintain a current certificate. Also attend other training required for licensing each year.Ensure proper and safe storage of food items.Wash and store all dishes, equipment, food prep utensils and miscellaneous utensils properly.Inform supervisor of food and equipment needs in a timely manner.Assist with CACFP Program monitoring and implementation.iVolunteers of America, Dakotas is an equal opportunity employer.
