Summary: Responsible for creating and overseeing SFC and SBB projects including, drawing, design and layouts. Consistently acting as a representative of Signs By Benchmark (a division of Benchmark Foam) by personifying the company's On-Time Delivery Guarantee. In a timely manner, provides support to, and assists Management, Sales, Drafting, Design, Estimating and Production with the preparation of quotes, renderings and architectural drawings. Reviews project plan to determine time frame and procedures to accomplish project. Communicates project specifications and/or revisions to team members in a timely manner. Works with customers in a positive manner to determine design, project specifications, build, install, and any revisions to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Communicates with customers in person, by phone, email, or fax. Uses positive customer relation skills to effectively interact/communicate with customers and team members. Works with team members to keep customer information current. Assists in project management, website design and maintenance. Analyzes existing processes, then makes recommendations for improvements as needed. Displays an orientation to profitability. As secondary duties drafts and completes tool paths when the work load demands. Job Specific Competencies: Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, project plans and technical procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or team members. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to read architectural, engineering and metric scales. Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations involving a variety of solutions. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of computer software. Experience utilizing current version of AutoCAD 09 software is required. Experience utilizing current version of Adobe Suite is preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current South Dakota Class 1 - Car/Light Truck Driver's License. Essential Physical Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
