Spectrum Matters, LLC Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Watertown, South Dakota

The role of the ABA Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is to provide home and community based ABA services to Spectrum Matters clients. This includes the implementation of a treatment plan developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) addressing communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs and social skills. The ABA Technician/RBT will also monitor the progress of a treatment plan and work closely with the BCBA to update the treatment plan as necessary.ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 ABA therapy in home, center, and community based environmentsImplement individualized treatment plans developed by BCBA'sCollect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan.Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals.Support the BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.Participate in team meetings and training workshops.Ensure that the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times.Follows the policies and procedures of Spectrum Matters, LLC.RBTs must abide by the RBT Ethics Code.Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skillsFades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent respondingIncreases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations)Accurately collects behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval based recordingQualifications:Have at least a high school diploma Bachelors Degree in Psychology or a related field such as Education or Speech Therapy is preferred Experience working with children with developmental disabilitiesExperience working with children with behavior problemsExcellent communication skills, able to work as a team, patient, and reliable. Experience working in home settingMust have a valid drivers licenseMust have valid car insuranceMust have own reliable transportationRBT certification or willing to obtain certification
